Where do we fish?
We fish Caliraya Lake on Luzon Island, Philippines. The trip starts in Manila, with a road transfer from NAIA arranged by HAKUSAN FISHING. Your meeting time and full itinerary are agreed before booking.
Are these fishing days or total travel days?
The 3-day and 4-day prices refer to days on the water. Allow additional time for international flights, transfers and the final overnight stay. Ryotaro will confirm the complete arrival and departure plan before you book flights.
Can I enquire as a solo angler?
Yes. Enquiries are welcome from one angler. Expeditions run with 2–5 participants in total, normally with two anglers sharing a boat. Ask about joining a group; a solo enquiry does not guarantee a departure.
How experienced do I need to be?
Some casting experience will help you make the most of this trip. Tell Ryotaro about your experience and tackle so he can discuss whether the expedition is a good fit. Expect repeated casting and full days outdoors.
What tackle should I bring?
Frogs, buzzbaits, other topwater lures and big baits are part of the approach. We will discuss suitable rods, reels, line and lures with you before departure. Do not assume tackle hire is included.
Are catches guaranteed?
No. Toman are wild fish. Weather, water conditions and fish behaviour affect every trip. We work for the opportunity, without promising a catch, size or number of fish.
When can I book, and how do I pay?
Full bookings are planned to open around April 2027, with the first trips around June. You can enquire now for advance information. Dates, inclusions, payment and cancellation terms are confirmed personally before any booking or payment.
What about accommodation and weather?
Accommodation is normally one private room per angler. The final hotel and itinerary are confirmed before booking. Conditions may require changes to fishing or transport; Ryotaro coordinates the local arrangements with you.
